Our client was charged with fifth degree assault and disorderly conduct for slapping a neighboring tenant in his apartment building.  The initial offer from the prosecution was for the client to plead guilty to the assault charge, receive a stay of adjudication, and go on probation for a year.  After negotiating with the prosecutors over several court appearances, the client received a continuance for dismissal.  Pursuant to the agreement, the client will have his case dismissed without the requirement of entering a plea, and without the requirement of going on probation.
