Our client was charged with domestic assault in Washington County following an incident with his teenage stepchild.  We filed a notice of self-defense, and the matter was scheduled for trial.  We fully prepared the case to be tried to a jury, by drafting proposed questions for the examination of witnesses in court, and filed the necessary witness list, trial motions, and proposed jury instructions.  We also filed a notice of self-defense.  On the day the client’s jury trial was scheduled to begin, the prosecutor dismissed the case.
