The client was charged with a felony drug offense in Anoka County. Adam brought a motion to suppress evidence, which was denied by the district court. Adam then appealed to the Minnesota Court of Appeals, where the district court was affirmed. Next, Adam sought review of the court of appeals decision at the Minnesota Supreme Court. In a unanimous decision, the Minnesota Supreme Court reversed the rulings of the lower courts and remanded the case to the district court for dismissal. The case was then dismissed in its entirety. After the case was dismissed, Adam successfully petitioned the district court on the client’s behalf for an expungement of all records.
