Our client was charged with impersonating a police officer after he was involved in a road-rage type of incident on a freeway where he displayed a badge to another motorist and told the other motorist to pull over. The Minnesota State Patrol seized the badge, a jacket with law enforcement insignia, and other items. After fighting the case for several months, the client entered a plea whereby he received a stay of imposition of sentence with an agreement that his conviction would be vacated after one year of informal probation. This resolution called for a total dismissal after the one year of probation.
