Vehicle Returned to Innocent Owner in DWI Case

The client’s vehicle was taken by her daughter’s estranged husband in Scott County. The estranged husband allegedly committed a DWI offense requiring forfeiture. A Notice of Forfeiture was served on the client. David explained to the County Attorney’s Office that the vehicle was taken without the client’s permission, knowledge, or consent. The County Attorney’s Office voluntarily returned the client’s vehicle.
